1st Meeting

We had a great turn out at both the committee meeting and parent meeting last night.  There was a lot of information shared and updates provided.  We encourage you to contact any of the advisory committee or any committee chair if you have questions about the opportunities that exist for you to help the team this year.  We can be VERY successful but we need your help. 

The Coach had a great introduction last night, don't forget that our swimmers need that 9 - 10 hours of sleep and healthy diets with limited caffine.

Don't forget Sunday's Dive Into the Season Pot Luck Cook Out.  We will begin at 12:30pm in the Pavilion outback of the Y.

Season underway with Practices starting

After this evenings practice, all age groups have had the chance to practice in the water at least one time this season.  All of our swimmers have met the coaching staff and are practicing hard, showing what it takes to be a Wave!  The coaching staff are working with all the swimmers in their age groups the first couple of weeks this season, at which time they will work to place swimmers in groups based on their competency and experience.  Parents will be notified of that change once it is scheduled to occur.

Parents are reminded that we still need volunteers for parent committees, and please mark your calendar for the dates listed below.

Coahes/Welcome Back/Schedule

Well we are only a few days away from the official start of the season.  As a team we have exciting news, our coaching staff is set for the season and have been working together to get prepared for practice that starts on Tuesday.  We have scheduled a welcome back pot luck lunch to be held at the Y on Sunday September 19 starting at 12:30pm, please stay tuned to your email and our website http://www.columbusnorthwaves.info/ for more information.

We have added a calendar/schedule on our website also- the meets have all been added as well as other important dates for this season.
